About Ann

Ann Hudspeth is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Austin, Texas. A native Austinite, she attended Hill Elementary, St Andrews, Lamar, and McCallum. She studied art and anthropology at Vassar College, and continued her art studies at The Contemporary at Laguna Gloria, Pratt Fine Arts Center, and Austin Community College.

She worked as a user experience designer, architect, and manager for 25 years. Now she makes art, collects art, talks about art, teaches art, and travels to art.

You may have spotted her at the Blanton Museum info desk, or handing out catalogs for the Austin Studio Tour.

She founded Gracy Art, Gracy Gallery, the Hudspeth Foundation, Little Sureshot Records, and a plethora of fun Facebook and Instagram pages like Texas Shaped, The Gracy Guineas, and Weird Austin Forever.

She is chronically online but uses apps like Freedom, Opal, and Brick to reclaim hours for art!
